.338 jtm ???
I have an old custom rifle I’m working over for a friend of mine. The ol gent that built the rifle is long sense passed away and we have no loaded ammo or load data to go off of. First off has anyone heard of or have any info on this .338 JTM. Apparently it was inspired by a magazine article...- Jim338

Leather Saddle Scabbord?
I made my own. Found some leather, laid out the pattern with the rifle. Had a local shoe repair shop sew it up. I got some hardware and made some straps with buckles, added a few rivets for strength. I’ve used it for years now. Packed my 17lb .338 around on the side of a horse in Wyoming...- Jim338

Kestrel 4500NV Applied Ballistics Meter
Just wanted to give Kestrel customer service a good word where due. My Kestrel 4500NV AB was having some intermittent issues. I called NK customer service, told them what was going on. Gunsmithing Twist rates
To my notion, the faster the twist the higher the pressure curve would be to accelerate the bullet. A slower twist may allow for a slightly hotter max load which should shoot a bit higher velocity.- Jim338
