    Anyone running a 6x45 ?

I'm interested in how IMR4895 does. Please let us know how they shoot.

    Anyone running a 6x45 ?

I'm using the C-products mags. The longest I could go with them and feed reliably was ~2.285. PRI mags will probably let you load longer. The c-products are much cheaper. I have the same barrel you are using. I don't have a chrony, so I'm not sure about velocity. I'll be using this for...

    Anyone running a 6x45 ?

I was able to do some shooting yesterday. The 95gr Berger classics performed pretty well. I had no pressure signs with 23gr 8208, will be stepping up a little at a time and see where I end up. I have an 18" BHW barrel, and I had no luck at all with Varget, I think I will be sticking to faster...

    Anyone running a 6x45 ?

I have some C products mags from Midway that will take ~2.3 also. I'm waiting on a gas block to put together one of these. I have some 80gr Hornady GMX bullets on order, and already have some 95gr Berger classic hunters on hand. I have fit 23gr of 8208 behind the berger. Seems like I can get a...

    270 loads

I have an older Savage that likes IMR4350 and 130gr Nosler Ballistic tips. I can't recall the powder weight off the top of my head, but it's close to the max load.

Hunting & Fishing Need a good off the shelf varmint shooter!

My dad has an MVP and really likes it. He has some handloads for it that consistently shoot ~.5" at 100yds. I think they are a 52gr AMAX, not sure of the powder. I had a remington sps tac without any modifications and the MVP outshot it no matter what I fed the 700. Of course if you want to...

    Range Finders under $1,000

You make some very good points, however I would argue that it is more likely he is ranging the sign than anything around it. Most street signs are effectively an array of retro-reflectors, making them pretty much the ideal target for ranging.

    Thanks for the info.

    bushy 1300 ARC range finder

Where did you find one for that price? Do the bushnells with arc display the true horizontal distance, or do they just show the bullet drop info? I don't have any experience with that rangefinder, but that is a really good price for it.

Picking up my new AAC-SD at the FFL soon; is the Hogue iovermold stock complete crap?

You can make it better pretty easily, because it is pretty bad to begin with. If you don't have the spare cash to get the stock you want, I say spend $5 or $10 bucks to improve the Hogue with some shims and then shoot it while you save for the one you want. It might not be great, but it is...

Hunting & Fishing Goats, New Zealand

Re: Goats, New Zealand Are all the feral goats there white, or just the bunch you found? We have feral goats here too, but they are almost always black. Do yours get decent racks on them?

Cleanest burning ball powder for .223 (AR15)

Re: Cleanest burning ball powder for .223 (AR15) You might consider using the small rifle magnum primers (CCI 450) rather than the small rifle (CCI 400) with ball powders. I believe CCI recommends this for more complete ignition. http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/primers/primer_chart.htm
