    Oh man! I've been wanting a 6.5 for awhile now and now I want one with a shorter barrel. What do you all think of a 20 inch 6.5x55 or should I go with a .260 or 6.5x47?

    IMR 4064 shoots sub-moa in my rifle with 168 Nosler Custom Competitions. Velocity with those is in line with BL-C(2).

    You'll get more velocity out of Varget but both work awesome in .308. Try both and follow the manual.

    I do 65 in/lbs on my 700s. No stress on the factory bottom metal or action, no compression in the stock (aluminum bedding block B&C and a pillar bedded McMillan).

    Re: Trouble with JP Rifles AR build It looks like your barrel nut isn't centered on the gas tube hole cause the gas tube to be at an angle and the gas block being pushed to the side. I'm surprised it cycles but I don't know why you're getting 5 inch groups.
