Gunsmithing Carbon Baked in Barrel please help.

I'm surprised Wipe-Out didn't do the trick for you. That stuff is magic for my barrels. Fill it with that foam and a plastic bag rubber banded over the muzzle overnight and never use any brushes. Patches only. They look new after this method. May have to do it two nights in a row if patches...

    Bolt Gun and Gas Gun

If your gas gun will outshoot your bolt gun, then your bolt gun needs help? Find out why.

    Re using pulled bullets?

One experiment is worth a thousand expert opinions. Load a dozen of them again and shoot some 100 yd groups. If they group well, then use them wherever.

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

Well Dusty, thanks for the welcome. I actually have three Great Grandkids, but none old enough to shoot, yet. I don't recall ever seeing a bingo ball whatyamacallit before. And yep, I refused to get a smart phone so people can keep track of my whereabouts. Leaves me without a good camera when...

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

Sure, it simply works well for a multitude of calibers and I tried the 'wet method' with practically no satisfaction. The cases just weren't very clean, and the process seemed overly messy. I used walnut shells initially but the media didn't seem to last very long. Corn cob worked and could be...

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

I love how these young 'woke scolds' seem to be 'sexual intellectuals' too. BTW Stainless steel is not attracted by magnetism.

    Wet vs. Dry Tumbling

Seriously kids; I have been shooting and reloading for almost forty years and have tried both methods. I only used the 'wet' method once and discarded the concept immediately. I have cleaned and loaded at least a quarter of a million cases. and am still doing it as I write this. 300 9mm cases...

Reloading press confessions...Dumb ass move while at the press.

Only a 'bang' and ashes flying there. No flaming vacuum bag and fireball to contend with.

Reloading press confessions...Dumb ass move while at the press.

You guys missed the Fourth of July here one evening. Spilled some powder as most of you did, but when vacuuming it up off the wooden floor of the loading room, the vacuum found a live primer from an earlier mishap. The wind-mill inside the carpet style Kirby, with a hose attached, set off the...

    New Caliber

The bullet ejects out the ejection port and the cartridge case goes downrange. Its the new 'bitch-slapping' round.

Range Report How can a rifle shoot poorly at 100 but well at 1000?

I really liked that thread where shooting through two different pieces of paper changed things downrange of the first paper target. Bullets aren't paper-proof.

Noticed that the AR10 bolt will re-headspace a cartridge.

Old adage: "One experiment is worth a thousand expert opinions" I want to know if that round that was chambered from locked back bolt and became shorter, (in the video) becomes shorter again if it is put through the same ordeal? And then try it again and again, measuring each time until it stops...
