    If you're considering cutting it down for the looks, 14.5 likely won't look much different than a 16 on standard MWS handguards and it's tying you to a specific muzzle device/suppressor. My 13.5 has just a bit of exposed barrel, however, it's also SBR'd.

    While not exactly 14.5in, my factory 13.5in SS barrel shoots Federal GMM 168's at 2415 and GMM 175's at 2337. As long as I get my wind right, it's surprisingly accurate out to 1000-1100 yards.

    Visited some friends up at Badger today and upgraded my mounting setup along with a few other pieces. If you look close, you may see a soon-to-be released part.

    I actually prefer running the LM8 rail slick. I ran with some converted URX panels for a while, and while cool looking, the LM8 handguard being without all the MLOK cutouts it's actually quite pleasant to hold.

    I run a LaRue mount with an offset RMR (also a Bushnell LRTS) and no real complaints. You actually need to have a low cheek weld to use the RMR and for an offset mount it doesn't stick out far at all. I may switch to a Badger mount with a 12 o'clock RMR at some point.     Posted this in a few other LMT pages... but I'm supper stoked with how well this build is coming together. Can is still in jail, so I can't paint it or stretch its legs yet. And while we're at it, my "battle rifle" 13.5 .308.
