I've got some laying around, if I ever end up using them again I'll have to remember to throw some loctite on the crossbolts as well as the cap screws.
I normally use feeler gauges to level the scope. I recommend a torque wrench for tightening all the screws. Lots of guys use the Borka, which has a nice compact size you can take to the field with you. I've got a CDI torque wrench. Remember rings are tightened in inch pounds, not foot...
There is a possible issue with proper eye relief. As long as you don't have to bridge the gap between your upper and your rail with the rings I don't think you will have any issues.

I have an EGW on one of my rifles and it has worked fine. Admittedly it has not seen very rough use. For bolt guns I like Seekins and AAD rings right now.

IMO the primary consideration is proper eye relief. I would look at the AAD one piece mount, Larue SPR and SPR-E, and the ADM Recon and Recon-X mounts. If you normally shoot with a NTCH position you will likely need the SPR-E or Recon-X mount. With the Razor 20MOA can't isn't needed to go to...
I like aimpoints for close in work. My SBR has an aimpoint M2 with 100% co-witnessed front and rear BUIS. Troy fixed on the front and Larue fixed on the rear.
