    I've had that happen with a couple thousand rounds of Black Hills that was surplus from an Army AMU contract a number of years ago. Wicked accurate but the brass was shit.

    barrel cooling device ?

    I made one but it died after just a couple months. Loud as hell but even in hot weather cooled the barrel in just a few minutes. Total cost a bit over $20.

    308 Muzzle Velocity with 175gr

    My M1A load uses 41.0 of IMR4895 for 2520 fps with LC Match cases and 175SMK's. Accurate and perfect function. No bolt gun numbers since I sold off my 40-X.

    It isn't really. I don't use the big bulky powders which is why I said many powders. Remove the hopper and place behind the rear window. Tip the V4 over the hopper and open the window. Give it a shake to empty the tubes and you are good to go. No need at all to disconnect the wire.

    There is no need to disconnect the wires, just like there is no need for shims/tips or other such nonsense... But that's just my opinion from using my V4 since 2022. .02 is generally one kernel of many powders and .04 is generally about 2, maybe 3 kernels. Well within my tolerance. A world more...
