1-Look at the Artcise CS90C & CS80C. The weight difference there is closer to 1lb if I remember correctly. The IB-40 isn't really an inverted head. The IB-30 (which I have is) is. It is OK but NOT Anvil level of quality/stability. I have it on a Leofoto LS-323C, which I really like for my use. Bartlein Carbon Wrapped Barrels
#13 (Sendero contour) is correct, NOT #3. #4 Bull Sporter and #13 Rem. Varmint/Sendero are the only "sporter" contour carbon fiber wrapped. I have a #4 that is very nice but it's not a small profile sporter contour.- jpndave

It's not as smooth as my Defiance but I think that is the level of post machine finishing, not the fundamental design. I read somewhere (I think it was Ted that posted it) the trigger problems were specific to super light (sub 1lb) single stage TriggerTech Diamond and a Bix n Andy similar model. I have a Diamond two stage so should be good to try out the pivoting model. I'm in for one with the Victorian Hooker...- jpndave

80,000 PSI capable actions for Sig Fury
Forged grain structure aligns with the net shape of the part making it stronger. Cold or hot rolled bar is ish forged I guess but not to the final shape. Defiance parts are "billet". The way they are machined makes heat treat distortion non-existant. They don't have the benefits of a forged...- jpndave
