    I own the SSG 3000 myself, the only thing I don't like about the new one is the 0 MOA intergral rail. But I put a Spuhr-3601 6mil/20.6 MOA rail on mine. Also a leupold mark 4 ert 6.5-20x50mm M5 TMR, and also ordered the McMillan stock expecting delivery sometime in august. Love the gun tho...

    How close to mount scope?

    Well that's why you save up, can't rush a precision rifle. Unless you're just made of money, I know I'm not. Your rifle and optics have to be set up right, did you know your rifle being canted 1 degree will throw your impact off by 6 inches at 1000 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Savage makes some good rifles. But I would lean closer to a Remington, there's a lot more options and accessories for them. Get you a varmint model, have a smith put a Schneider barrel on it, bed it in a McMillan stock, detachable magazine kit. You got yourself an M40. I would recommend...
