Thanks for all the help!! I'm going to go with the lee collet neck sizer. And redding comp seater. I ordered the lee set and think the seating die will work till I can save up to the redding.
This is really the seating die I want. I have it in the .308 win and was looking at it in detail. Any thoughts on if it would work in a 280 AI? RCBS Gold Medal Match Series Bushing Seater Die 280 Remington
Thanks for the good info. Im thinking any 280 Rem neck sizer would work. Now Im really wondering if any 280 Rem bullet seating dies will work? or does the shoulder throw them off? Thoughts?
So I came across a sweet looking 280 Ackley... It ending up coming home with me. But now I run into the problem with expensive dies. I really like neck sizing, so I was thinking of going with the Lee Collet 2 die combo. Im wondering if the bullet seater will work in the 280 AI or if I have to...
Im telling sometimes this gun can just be a lemon! My father owned one and loaded everything you could think of to try and get it to shoot. Some groups were as big as five inches! Yes five! at 100. We just ended up selling the POS. I wouldn't recommend keeping it. Drop it like its hot.
Re: anybody around Elko, Nevada? Im in Spring Creek and head to the range a bunch in Elko! I agree it would be nice to get something going around here.
Re: First ladder test 308 savage, interpretation help Personally I would try a different powder if your not happy with those lower velocities. Different powders will have different nodes. I probably wouldn't do a 47 plus ladder due to pressure limits.. Tried it myself and had to replace the...
Re: Barrel length question My 2 cents is I would go with a 20 incher in any situation. Range and field it does great. I have a Savage that I sent off to Tornado Tech and had them cut it down to 20" and thread it. Doing so improved my accuracy and my velocity is still above book.
Re: Unique Nevada Goat Wow thats crazy!! Never seen that in my life... Must be something out there in that Mcdermit water... I have seen some good buck taken off that unit but thats the most interesting thing I have seen up there!!
Re: Noob needs help with his first scope. So that puts you down by Ely... I have to hook ups down there. I probably would do what Switchblade said to do and call up SWFA their customer service is great, and they want nothing but the best for you. I can vouch for that.
Re: Predator mounts... I really like your Bobcat!! I want have been wanting to do kinda a same set up but with chucker.. Just haven't killed a big enough cat yet. Nice Mounts!
