Re: Adjustable Turret Question
Yeah, I just watched some videos that helped me realize that. If I am shooting a 165 grain .308, can anyone estimate how far out those 12 MOA will reach?
Sorry for the basic questions guys, I'll learn more with experience.
I'm not very familiar with exactly how they work. I recently put a Vortex Viper PST on my Remington 700 and got it bore sighted. I went out to the range and completely sighted it in. When I unscrew the screws to put the turrets back to the zero mark, they do not go all the way down to the mark...
If I want to buy a used Savage 10, what is the max amount of shots that would have been put through it until you wouldn't want to purchase it anymore? It's hard to put it in words, but I think you understand what I'm saying.
Thanks a lot guys!
I'm gonna be putting a new stock on my 700 and I want it to have a detachable magazine instead of the hinged floorplate. When I was looking at the B&C stocks, the detachable magazine assembly costs more than the stock itself!
Any suggestions?
Thanks again guys
Re: Decisions decisions...
I don't know if I can do $675. I'm a high school student with very limited income and with gas an insurance on my vehicle, I need to save as mouch dough as possible.
I'm looking for a scope in the $400-600 range and here's what I've collected so far:
Bushnell Elite 5-15 Mil-Dot Reticle
Weaver Super Slam 4-20 Dual X Reticle
Nikon Monarch 4-20 Nikoplex Reticle
Any other suggestions or opinions?
Thanks guys!
I found a Nikon Monarch for really cheap on this website, but the site looks kind of sketchy. Tell me if you guys would trust buying a scope from this site...

Re: 1500 to build or buy
Yeah I'm stuck between putting a new stock on a SPS-V, or getting a police and keeping the stock. Sounds like we're pretty much on the same boat.
Re: Remington 700 Opinions
Wow, so the extra $300 you pay for the 700P is basically just buying you a stock. With that in mind, I will probably just purchase a 700 SPS-V and put a B&C on it.
Re: Remington 700 Opinions
So the 700P and SPS-V have the same barreled action, but the SPS-V isn't free floating because of the stock they have on it? And if I put on a new stock, the barrel will be free floating?
Thanks again for the help guys

Nope, it says $570 not $750. I...
