I bought one of the 42's for my wife. Since she has little hands it works well for her. First shots through had FTE and the rest of the mag ran fine. The mag has a metal lip that I filed a 45 deg angle on and it ran fine after that. Hopefully they fix it before it becomes a regular problem...
I have seen first hand what 8 rounds of a .45 does to a charging bear, it pisses him off if you manage to hit him. Carry bear spray, it saved our asses. Lessor of the evils out here wont stand up to a 10 mm or .45. Or you can go the cheap route and toot your whistle while hiking, sounds like fun.

I had many issues with the 110 FCP .338 Lapua. Horrible groups and failure to fire. Ended up selling it after six months. Others had great luck, some had horrible luck. I had the ATACR mounted up on it so that wasn't the issue. If you purchase one, good luck with it. I'm still a Savage fan but...
I got the Bell and Carlson Medalist M40 Varmint/Tactical. I think they lied on what it weighs. Came in yesterday. Happy to see there are good hide members helping out others.
