I cannot fathom why you guys load to 2.8 oal - almost no rifle does not allow you to get much closer to lans. My two savages criterion and shillen in 1/8 both allow me to run all 140 class bullets at 2.85- 2,9 range. Now if for some reason you bought a short action with way short mag capacity...- kimbajmann

New B&C Stock .... any tips??
Re: New B&C Stock .... any tips?? what rifle? on my sav, just bolted it down to ck and got more than tight enough groups. read some folks do skim bed them. shoot it and see. can always use carbon paper or marker on al bed block then shoot to see contact points if it does not shoot well...- kimbajmann

new savage 12fv in 22-250
sold my ar to build my 22-250 as wanted to pd and yote hunt and could not get over the spring noises on the ar and case length limetations. ended up going with the savage 12fv ( heavy 26" barrel) and trashed the stock in favor of the b and c medalist. it is the 12 twist barrel version model 12...- kimbajmann

Teh rubberized stock really is nice in cold and snow. just ordered a 6x42 mil-dot to replace my 3-12 as for the 22lr for hunting I do not want to...- kimbajmann
