I try to have 10 per rifle and some spares. Gets harder with expensive mags like AICS, but easy for the cheaper ones like magpul pmags.

For me it's a Sig SHR 970 in .308. I'll never understand why Sig stopped selling this rifle in the states, it shoots like a dream. Excellent trigger pull out of the box. I topped it with a Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40 and it shoots ragged holes at 100 yards. It's taken it's share of deer as well.

Shouldn't be a problem if they are both Serpa's. I took a 1911 thigh rig and turned it into a glock 17 thigh rig by just changing out the holster part.

Re: Which "carry" handgun to choose I used to carry a kimber ultra carry II. It was heavy. I've since switched to a glock 19 gen 4 and couldn't be happier. I've shot the hell out of this thing in classes and at the range and couldn't be happier.
