Left to right windage creep out to 800 yards?

That's some damn good advise. I'll give that a go when I get back home in a few days. I'm going to have to run it like this for a few more days which is aggravating, but at least I'm hitting.. Thanks again!

Left to right windage creep out to 800 yards?

I'm noticing that as I get further out past my zero I have to keep dialing in windage adjustments to the left. At 400yds it's only a couple inches and at 800yds it's a couple feet. What are your thoughts on why this is. It's always to the left that I need to adjust. If my scope cross hairs...

Bolt sticking with Federal Brass, but not with Winchester. Why??

Hey, thanks a lot for the tip. I'll give Er a go. I would have never even guessed the federal cartridge would need to be treated that much different. Thanks again.

Bolt sticking with Federal Brass, but not with Winchester. Why??

My platform is a savage model 10 fcp chambered in .308. I slighlty neck sized a piece of brass so a bullet was pretty tuff to get in and out. I left the bullet hanging way out of the cartridge and chambered it in my rifle seating it consistently at 2.815. So I figured putting it at 2.80 would...

Bolt sticking with Federal Brass, but not with Winchester. Why??

Yes, that's correct. Winchester brass is working great. How much more of a jump do you think. My COL is 2.80". I was thinking about trying out .010 off the lands and seeing what that got me. Wouldn't think that would help me with what seams like over pressure signs though.

Bolt sticking with Federal Brass, but not with Winchester. Why??

Shooting 44.3gr of varget, lighting it with Federal GM 210 primers pushing a 175gr SMK HPBT seated .015 off the lands. The Federal brass was fire formed to my rifle using boxed 168gr federal gmm. The winchester brass was fire formed to my rifle using winchester 150gr power points. I'm...

Range Report What do you do with short brass?

Re: What do you do with short brass? I forgot to mention that the brass had not been neck sized yet. I might get a couple thousandths after that. I was reading on some verbiage from sierra that they recomend to trim to 2.005. Thoughts and opinions on a trim length of 2.005.

Range Report What do you do with short brass?

I've got some fire formed federal gmm in .308 consistently measuring at 2.008 and I've got some fire formed winchester power point in .308 measuring from 2.002 through 2.008. All of the brass has been fired out of my rifle. Will this effect my loads if I reload it? Standard .308 cartridge is...

Range Report Range Test: Berger 215gr Hybrid in the 308 Win

Re: Range Test: Berger 215gr Hybrid in the 308 Win Pushing that monster @ through a 1-12 at 2600 might have been what helped it out and keep in mind it was only 100yds. It might start to get a little squirrelly at greater distances.

Range Report quick question about bullet deviation.

Re: quick question about bullet deviation. That my friend was a damn good read. Thanks for that link. Totally explains it. Hense the reason free floating barrels are so important. Thanks again!

Range Report quick question about bullet deviation.

Re: quick question about bullet deviation. Yeah, I was totally expecting a zero shift between rounds, but nothing that significant. I found it very interesting and wad wondering if anyone had some imput on why they think it was such a big shift.

Range Report quick question about bullet deviation.

I zeroed my rifle at 100yds for hunting with the winchester .308 150 gr PowerPoints. I then started to set my rifle up for some LR a few weeks later by switching to the federal gold medal match 168gr sierra match king bthp's. The fed gmm started grouping 8" to the left and 3" low, but it was...
