Re: Stainless Steel Media and tumbling, idea, help....
Op, have you considered using a liquid detergent meant for a dishwashing machine? I'm pretty sure those are meant for less suds. I only know that because I used the regular dish soap once as a kid and spent the rest of the evening mopping...
Re: Official MidwayUSA Codes
I just received a $500 order and it definitely helped that I had my birthday discount. But even without codes they're still sold out of an awful lot of stuff. They're probably not gonna worry about it this month because they're pretty overwhelmed with the order...

Re: .308 scarcity?
I haven't seen a shortage of projectiles or primers, but I've been waiting over a month for Winchester .308 brass to come in at my local shop.

Re: small base dies for bolt action?
Assuming you plan to keep separate brass for each rifle, you may want to back off the sizer die a bit for the bolt action. That way you work the brass as little as possible. If you are going to do large volume for either rifle a second die might be worth...
Re: SIERRA 5th Edition Rifle & Handgun Manual
The 5th edition skips right from the 90gr FMJBT to the 100gr SPT and SBT. Their test rifle is a 22" 1:9 1/8 Remington using federal brass w/ 210M primers, but no listing for the 95gr SMK. It does show a 2003 copyright date, is the 95 SMK newer...

Re: Bumping shoulders, how do you know?
Hornady Headspace Gauge
Measure a fired cartridge and then adjust the sizing die until you get the desired amount of shoulder bump. The gauge is a comparator, the number won't be an exact measurement of anything, but it allows you to "compare" the...

Re: SIERRA 5th Edition Rifle & Handgun Manual
I have the Sierra manual and I like it, lots of good info in addition to the load data. Of course they only give data for Sierra bullets, and they seem to be pretty conservative. I've never seen any listings for Vectan, is it sold under any other...
