Visited the Church of the Long Gun this morning and tried out my H1000 loads in 300 WM using 208 grain Hornady Amax bullets in Winchester Brass with Win LRP. This is at a distance of 100 yds. 76 grains produced a 1" group at 100 yds 76.5 rains produced all 5 shots inside the diameter of a...

I have searched here and cannot seem to find any 300 Wm loads specific to the DTA. So I am going to load up some rounds from 76-78 grains in 1/2 grain increments. Using Winchester cases, Winchester large rifle primers and Hornady 208 grain Amax bullets. Stay tuned.

Finally got some H1000 for my 300 WM loads. As I have posted before I have been using IMR4350 with some good results (68 grns and 70 grns). My understanding is the H1000 is the preferred for this caliber. Now let the development begin. I have both the 210 Berger VLDs and the 208 grn Amax...

I run a 20 MOA AADmount on my DTA and so does an instructor friend of mine. Works great with my Vortex Viper PST 6-24.

Yes, i hear ya on availability of powders. I want to use H1000, but it has been non existent in my world. I worked the loads up in 60-70 degree weather and the match was shot in 80-90 degree weather.

I have been working on some loads using IMR 4350. Does anyone know of any temperature sensitivity of this powder? I experienced some bolt sticks in a little local match and had to pull out. I had been using 70 grains of IMR 4350 in my 300WM with a Winchester Large Primer and either a 208 grn...

Sling stuff Just took delivery of a new Tab Gear Elite sling. It works great! The customer service from Tony Burke is second to none. I leave the long haul duty to Eberlestock. Rock solid and battle tested. The Gunslinger 2 is my choice. Good Luck.

Good lord Orkan! With the amount of money you have in all of the hard goods there you might be able to help ol uncle Obama eat something better than the turd salad he has been serving us. Then again on second hand..... It is good to be you.

I have had really good luck with the Thunderbeast brakes on other rifles. I went with the 338 LM two chamber brake for my 300 WM conversion. It works great. now that my can is here I will probably never use the brake again. Love the can.
