Re: cleaning rod Thanks for the feedback. A rod with .208" diameter is fine for a .264 caliber, but too flimsy for a .284 caliber? Are the patches or brushes any tighter inside a .264 barrel than inside a .284 barrel? The specs on the 7 MM Krieger barrel that I am waiting for is .277"...

I am planning on purchasing a Tipton carbon fiber rod for new 7 MM Mag with 26" Krieger barrel fitted to M700 action. Also planning on buying a Lucas bore guide once he starts taking orders again. The Tipton carbon fiber rod for .27 - .45 caliber is listed at .250" in diameter. That leaves...

I am interested in getting input about coatings applied to the 'business end' of the bolt. I have read about a Cerakote DFAC (Dry Film Anti-Carbon) coating that is .25 to .50 mil thickness and greatly reduces friction. I have also heard about teflon coatings. What do most custom rifle...
