    4DOF inclined fire error

Of course you’re right not to use the Rifleman’s Rule for solver validation — it was only mentioned as an example of a geometric shortcut whose errors can be hidden by measurement noise; proceed by measuring Sigma with a 600 m/20° test, compare each solver directly to MPOI with identical...

    4DOF inclined fire error

Try +800 and no less than 30°, if possible. Higher values help minimize potential "noise" introduced by the so-called Rifleman's Rule. Of course, a full test should also assess how well the software distinguishes between uphill and downhill shots, accounting for changes in air density and the...

    4DOF inclined fire error

No sarcasm needed. Do a simple comparison with most 3-DOF models, and you’ll spot the error. Want to play with 6-DOF? Be my guest. Trying to hide the sun with your hand? That’s a common attitude, while the simplest path is plain and simple QA. Angle solutions are not a mystery; the equations are...

    4DOF inclined fire error

I think Hornady (LedZep-Joe) is overcomplicating things with 6DOF, wind modeling, and so on—turning what should be a simple algorithmic error into a convoluted mess. The truth is much simpler: don’t lose sight of the forest for the trees. When their software was released, one of the first...

    4DOF inclined fire error

4DOF is wrong since its debut when it comes to angle fire solutions.

Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

Apparently some guys are still missing shots after applying 3.32 ...Go figure. Won't update mine until Garmin says it is GTG and so far the guy from Garmin never replied again to that thread, which is somewhat suspicious.

Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

Maybe, maybe not. So far no news from Garmin and they had more than enough time to fix the missing shots.

Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

Given Garmin lack of interest to sort out the firmware bugs, I'm seriously considering getting myself an Athlon and don't look back. Half the price and better, faster performance. No brainer.

    Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

Garmin's silence about this speaks out volumes !:mad::mad:

    Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

I also wonder if Garmin is listening/reading to this and actually working on a solution to fix their own mess...cannot be that hard to rework the faulty code.

    Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

Seems to me that Garmin is making too much mistakes rushing up the so called "updates" despite having recognized the missed shots issue, that allegedly 3.32 had solved...won't update my Xero until they can really do a serious and professional debugging QC of their software. A shame nonetheless...

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

You should contact Patagonia about the latest details, but yes, it's up and running.

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

Very useful tips thanks! Regarding the G1 value, which one to use with Hornady? I mean they publish 3 values for different velocities. I guess a ShotMarket will be ordered soon. Basically you have debunked what they say about the never ending BC vs Drag BS given your results at 2300 (y)

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

Nice, question is which one is harder to tune, for instance, when using Hornady bullets? What BC values should be use when running FFS?

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

UI elements like mapping, reticles, graphs, etc are basically dictated by the market. Not necessarily useful or needed by most people, but sought after by some guys because it looks neat and "powerful" Of all of these, the only ome I'd ever care about is mapping. Would be very interesting if...
