Night Vision Who gets headaches with your NV monocle? - AnotherUpdate

A ten year old thread... Thread necromancy is giving me a headache, will working out help that too?

    New Burris BTS35 V2 Thermal

Still seems like unimpressive res and refresh rates Upscaling it to the display doesn't mean it's any sharper than it started, right?

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Am I understanding this correctly with respect to pairing a Kestrel? It never actually pairs to the LRF, so phoneless utilization with onboard ballistics is a no go. The phone is acting as a go-between and taking environmental data from the Kestrel and ranging info from the LRF? Obligatory pic

    Something kicking off in Israel

Depends who you ask and their interpretation. I've been to some anti terrorism classes, put on by Muslims, who were practicing, that flat out said Islam isn't compatible with western society and it'll ruin all that's been built here if you try to integrate or commingle it. Not my...

Night Vision Combine thermal and IR? Not fusion…combined setup.

If your brain will do it, then it's great. It gave me a hellacious headache. Maybe the newer thermals are better I tried it with a FLIR breach. Major yuck. I do like thermal on a rifle, if you're going to do stationary observation anyway. Moving around at night, I still like NV the resolution...

Night Vision Combine thermal and IR? Not fusion…combined setup.

Consider your brain may not like it. Looking at fusion through one or both eyes when combined is one thing, trying to make your head do the combining may not be very comfortable. I tried it, and hated it. NV on my head, thermal on the weapons IMO.

Looks officially out, the Vortex Impact 4000 WMLRF

It's not a question of importance it's an issue of constantly being forced to choose by manufacturers that won't just let products talk because they all think theirs are better.

Looks officially out, the Vortex Impact 4000 WMLRF

Supposed to have one otw, I'll definitely compare them, I played with GB a little a few years ago but it didn't do anything for me my Kestrel didn't at the time so it got dumped. Agreed with the pass through comment, no need to license AB but wtf can't it BT and display the solution on the...

They're also using binos because what else is there? Monocular I guess, but those suck. The last time this was done at an affordable price point SiCo's unit fell pretty far below expectations. Yeah, stuff like the raptar exists, but at like $8k+ plus it may as well be made of gold coins by...

Looks officially out, the Vortex Impact 4000 WMLRF

You can see the IR laser pulse under NV, there's video out there of it. The solver thing is annoying. The point being missed that ruebinski is making is you can zero this LRF. You can't zero most handhelds, Kilo 10k does let you I believe. There's also a stability issue with handhelds while...

Looks officially out, the Vortex Impact 4000 WMLRF

Nobody really needs the AB solver in the unit, we've all got AB Kestrels already. They just need to be able to communicate. I'd love to see component manufacturers offer devices that do things like ranging, or GPS, or whatever, and the ability to communicate with different ecosystems to display...
