    Subsonic 300 Blackout with H110

Here's a motherload of sticky on 300blk reloading powders. 300BlkTalk ? View topic - Powders For the 300 blk. Links to published Data added. Like previously mentioned, H110 has been extensively tested to work great for supersonics, while A1680 is great for subsonics. Even with a suppressor...

New reloading strategy, comments wanted.. :)

Regarding this topic, has anyone ever tried the arbor press / hand dies? I suppose they were made to do load development at the range. My range is far away and load development is near impossible unless you want to spend hours and hours thinking of every possibility that you can test. In the...

I joined the reloading club! Check out my set up.

The glaring problem with your setup is that it is waaaaay too clean. It's unnatural. Crank it a few thousands times. Congrats man, I have a RL550 too. Fantastic choice. I load everything from pistol to precision rifle rounds on it with the whidden toolhead.

    Bolt hard to close

I've had that same exact problem when I first started reloading rifle rounds. My issue is as suggested before - not screwing the sizing down far enough. You do have to screw it down past hitting the base so that it "cams over" when you size. The other obvious thing to check is if your brass...

Brass Prep & Trimming For ARs

Yes I guess giving it a consistent leeway on the cut would work. One other thing you probably thought of already, but worth mentioning, is that if you have multiple ARs to shoot these out of, then further tolerance need to be made. Neck turning is a dark, dark art indeed. I've had good...

Brass Prep & Trimming For ARs

I don't know if it's worth doing this kind of work for an AR platform, and since it's a semi you want to give it some lee-way so that rounds will chamber properly. If you cut to exact length and then the brass springs back a little, you may jam up your rifle. Not worth it IMO for the...

    Gun safe idea

Agreed, it's concealment, not cover! IMO the nonlockable ones are good for quick access (if you don't have untrained kids) to your defense gun, but don't be hiding your entire collection in there. Criminals are smarter than you think. Check out sturdy safes. Gun Safes : Fire Safe...

Bought a Beta Chrony. Let the fun begin!

I had a Chrony years ago. It's pretty finicky and depending on the light conditions would work or not work. Wasted a lot of ammo trying to get it to work on sunny days - no dice. I found cloudy days to be the best days to do it, and as someone suggested, afternoons are best. If you want a...

    Reliable AR15 22LR conversion kit.

Another +1 on Nordic/JP .22 uppers. It's the most reliable, and with .22s that means a lot. The downside is that it hasn't been available for like a year. Good luck finding one.

    Is it over!!!????

If it's over I sure didn't see it around here. Nothing's available, especially .22LR. I have over the past few wks gotten sporadic "in-stock" notification emails from a few online suppliers but they are usually gone by the time I click the link, and I'm talking within 10-15mins.

Is the CCI Velocitor 22LR Ammo Worth a Hoot?

Am I missing something, or is the current .22 rimfire market "take what's available" ???

    338 Lapua 1715 yards

Sweet! What's your reloading prep like for this? Do you measure each powder load, check concentricity, turn necks, etc.? Also, where are some good places to shoot long range in PA? There isn't anything close by where I am in NY (farthest is maybe 300yd) so I have to travel. I would like to...

Wait time for JP Enterprise rifles

I think JP has made it pretty well known that they will ship them with standard parts so that people will get the essentials first before any pending legislation. They said they will ship the other parts later as they receive them. I sure wish that was the case last year before our governor...

Wait time for JP Enterprise rifles

I ordered a JP PSC-12 308 upper that just came in and found out I cannot buy 308 lowers anymore in NY after the dumbass SAFE Act. Sigh. Well, if anyone's interested in skipping the line let me know.

I Looked at a GA Precision Rifle Yesterday...

GAP is very professional. I had a custom 308 put together by them - they provided the Bartlein barrel and muzzle brake, I sent them a Badger M2008 action and AICS 2.0 stock. They put it together beautifully, and the gun shoots really well. I don't think I've ever read anything bad about them...
