    I beg to differ. I picked up 2 Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x44 duplex scopes from Sportsman's Guide on sale for $700/ea 2 years ago. Scopelist also runs some pretty good sales from time to time, as well as a few other companies. You just have to keep your radar up and know a deal when you see one...
