Completed 24 years of service in the U.S. Army, 13 on active duty (1980-1993) as an Armor officer and later UH-60 Blackhawk pilot, 4 years in the IRR (1993-1997), and 7 years in the Maine Army National Guard (MEARNG) (1997-2004) as a UH-60 Medevac pilot. Tours include: Hawaii (yeah I know, my toughest assignment)(1981-83), 2 tours in Korea (ROK)(1987-88 & 1989-90), Desert Shield/Desert Storm (1991), Bosnia (1999-2000), Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF1) (2003-2004).
