i'm sorry, i have been on hiatus from hide. but, to answer, ended up with thread adapter. reason: emailed David Whiton of shark & he had my adapter in mail within couple days. i was gonna thread it, but that was too fast. 18 x1m is threading (i have learned).
this seems the apprpriate place to ask this question. i have recently purchased a TRG 42 .300 WM & have no idea what the threading is? i also wonder, should i buy a thread adapter for my can or have barrel threaded to 5/8" x24 (if that is an option)? let's say time frame is of no consequence...
I had Tom Sarver build this .300 WM I've had the rifle about 1 year, and am very happy with it! I must add, that Tom is a very detailed builder. I am very happy with any work he has done for me. So, Here it is: Built on Remington 700 long action (trued). Krieger 26" barrel with heavy lug...
