    Banging in from Central PA

Welcome to the forum. When I get a chance, I take the 200 mile trip to spend the day at Mifflin County Sportmans Range. Soon I hope to move back into America.

    I will be reloading for a .308 H&K Mode 91 Semi soon

Good Luck. I doubt you'll be able to get any usable life out of any brand of brass.

    Cigars!

Monte Cristo's, Arturo Fuente and a great collection of cuban's from my european friends keep me smokin'. Now trading a stick for a tobacco stick (s), I love cigars-but not that much!!! Good Luck though.

    Storing Powder / Primers

I bought a JOB BOX- the type used on construction sites. I have it mounted off the floor on 4x4's and it doubles as a workbench. 2 locks. Granted it isn't airtight and if your powder somehow got hot enough to burn-well you have serious problems. I treat mine as a second safe for other valuables...

Is Hornady worth the extra money

Its like what brand hammer would you buy. Each of us have our personal preferences. I like RCBS presses-but use Redding Dies. All work as advertised. Hornady is best if that's whats in stock and you need it now.

    reloading .338 lapua magnum data

I've loaded about 6K rounds of 338LM- EVERY charge is weighed even though my Harrel's powder measure is consistent. I think +/- 0.2 grains is good-more accuracy is hard to get with stick powders. Remember the 338LM case can hold 100grains-going up in increments of .2 grains is a waste of time...

    50BMG powder in 300RUM?

I've used quite a few 50BMG powder's in 338LM. It will work in a pinch for the 300RUM. Lower velocities for sure. You need longer barrel to take advantage of the SLOW powder. Most loads will be compressed or at least close to it-if you use a stick powder. US869 works very well and meters very...

    Bruno Shooters Supply

Most companies involved in the reloading industry are WAY behind and simply swamped by unprecedented buying sprees. I have used Bruno's,but would recommend Powder Valley for reloading components. Unfortunately, you'll find alot of "out of stock" items at most suppliers. So when you can,get while...

I need starter loads for .338LM Savage 110 FCP HSP

What exactly is a "Plinking Load"? 1000yards,though not stretching the 338LM's capability is a distance that requires an accurate stick, a skilled shooter and quality ammo. Have you actually fired this rifle? If not, how do you know that the "accurizing" work being performed has actually worked...

    Midway Hacked?

Mastercard phoned me at 9am this morning. They saw alleged "suspicious" use of my card. 3 Hotel rooms in Paris,France. ????? Nope-cancel the account. Its is so common anymore-so many companies have been hacked and more than likely alot of them haven't even realized it. My card hadn't been used...

    338 Lapua Die Set Questions

To be honest I wouldn't consider using a carbide die. The case NEEDS to be lubricated. I only use carbide dies to resize pistol and revolver brass. I would never even try to resize a large rifle case without lube. I would return the Lyman. Buy once-cry once. I use Redding dies. Lapua brass is...
