    Hidden lock for gun drawers.

So I built some 48” drawers under my bed and am looking at installing/making some type of hidden lock for the ones with guns in them. I’ve seen electronic ones but would rather some type of manual one. My initial thought is a piece of steel rod with a spring inside a piece of pvc recessed in the...

    Running with kids

I understand now. My understanding is your cadence should stay close to the same regardless of your pace up until a sprint. I look to stay in the 165 range. I’m also 6’4” snd 240 lbs so I don’t know if that’s part of the reason mine is a little slower. I run with a lot of folks that average 180...

    Running with kids

So I was headed for a short run this afternoon and my 5 year old said he wanted to come. I told him I was running a long way and wouldn’t be able to bring him back. He said “I don’t care, I’m coming with you!” I figured we’d run a little while and he’d...

    Running with kids

I’ll work through that article later but these were some of my concerns. Thanks for the link. Just to be clear. We aren’t going to be running 10 miles a week. I normally do an easy 2 mile run on Monday/Tuesday and then 4 in the middle and 5-6 on the weekend. The only one I plan on letting him do...

    Running with kids

Thanks for all the replies. We will take it easy but it’s something he really enjoys. I don’t necessarily enjoy it, just the benefits of it.

Thanks. I’ve already read that. I’m really wondering if anyone has any actual experience with this and what their experience was

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Knife Identify!

No makers mark and the poor etch job on the Damascus, among other things, leads me to believe it’s a jockey lot special. An actual custom Damascus blade similar to that would start around $400-500 depending on the size. He probably wouldn’t give you a knife like that if you weren’t real close.

K-Bars Dear knife people....step on in.

Have a custom Kydex sheath made. Lots of folks do it and it’s relatively inexpensive.

    Back Country Hiking Carry Setup

I’ve got the same chest pack and love it. I carry it backpacking and fly fishing with a Xds 45/9. It’s also nice that I can get wader deep and still keep it dry. Of course I have occasionally got a little deeper than that at times!

K-Bars Ultralight self defense blade for female runner

I carry the Hill people gear chest pack with a Xds 9/45 when I fish rivers or backpack. I don’t believe I could run distance with it though. LCP in a sticky holster when running. It actually fits snd holds well in a pair of running shorts.

K-Bars Ultralight self defense blade for female runner

I’d look at any of the titanium liner locks. I’d glue a thin piece of felt or rubber to the inside (part that will be touching the hip) to keep it from chafing. Depends on attire but a lot of runners use shorts with built in liners so you won’t have anything between the knife and skin which can...

Not bad for a frankengun at 400

Nice setup! What was the distance and target size?

    Long Runs with CCW

I carry a LCP 380 in a sticky holster if I’m running in the summer where it’s only shorts and a tee shirt.
