https://www.twz.com/air/russia-now-looks-to-be-using-wire-guided-kamikaze-drones-in-ukraine I have been waiting for this. Jaycar/Radioshack EFOGM......and I kinda dig it.
The only real solution to this one it to use an open flight controller system (pixhawk + ardupilot) or something similar. That pretty much eliminates everyones spyware. Probably not a 'first drone' thing though
I have a mini mavic 2 and am reasonably happy with it as a first one. My only real gripes are related to the app: 1. Every time it updates (and sometimes just randomly) it logs you out of 'DJIfly' and you have to log back in before you can fly. Which isn't a big deal if you operate in areas...
Possibly. At 2:36 it looks like at least one guy is running handloads. While you can't read the headstamps, just going off memory the headstamp on those isn't 'crowded' enough to be hornady. Edit: At 15:16 you have different primers in what looks to be other handloads. I think this is just a...
Is it just military guys? Or is it one of those competitions that you see in Europe sometimes where they combine the civilian long range guys and the military for informal comps? I only ask because there isn't any consistent uniforms between them and basically every model of high end rifle that...
More pics of the new Shahed-238 dropped: Upgrades look to be: 1. Speed increase with addition of jet engine (although it doesn't look to be shielded?). 2. A more RCS friendly profile. All the sharp edges where body tube joined wings etc are gone. If I get bored/get time will do it in CAD and...
I think it may have reached the point where they really have no idea what they are going to do, so they have just left the machine running while they try and work it out. The first plan was to keep Ukraine fighting long enough for the sanctions to bankrupt Russia which obviously didn't work...
From the article: It is unclear what the jackets are made of or if they differ from space blankets made of Mylar. 🤨 I mean full credit to the Ukrainians for battlefield improvisation and all that, but I would have thought checking it's not just spraypainted space blankets before writing a full...
So even Aliexpress-tier jammers aren't available? Or have the Russians just worked out that always running their drones on 2.4ghz isn't a particularly good idea? So you are sniping from almost in the trenches? Not forward of the lines at all? Is it almost a WW1 style no-mans land?
How do you deal with 360 degree threat of drones? I know you have a thermal blanket in front, but how do you deal with top cover and sides? So when you say it's not synthetic, what exactly is it? When you said thermal sheet I just assumed you were repurposing Mylar sheets or something....
