Sidearms & Scatterguns glock or smith?

I have a Glock 26 and an S&W M&P .40. Both are great guns but the Glock is better. The M&P's grip is comfy, it looks sexy, the machining is great, and I shoot pretty well with it, but the internals are more complicated than the Glock. Magazines are also less common, which to me a is fairly...

    Hydrographic Disaster PICS

Best I can tell from some Googling is that it's "shawnaughty designz" WARFARE pattern, a multicam knockoff. I'm having trouble finding pictures now, which tells me they probably had to ditch it for copyright reasons. Caveat Emptor.

    Rifle Scopes Redfield USMC

I don't really understand the complaint with the reticle personally. It's obviously not the real thing, so why not have a more functional reticle than the original?

    TRG magazines

Thanks! That's weird, when I was looking a month ago NOBODY had them, including Midway. I kept looking every few days for about 3 weeks and finally gave up. -matt

    Gunsmithing Reamer Malfuction

This. I'm not sure what material that is, but with carbide and other similarly brittle tooling, cutting slow will make them 'grab' the material, which will make them break faster than anything else. -matt

    TRG magazines

I actually looked into that and found that a lot of guys are just running AICS 10 round magazines in their stock magwell. Supposedly they function fine, but have a loose fit. From my measurements ont he TRG mag versus what others have posted for AICS dimensions, it seems that the AICS mag is...

Remington XCR 300wm - this can't be good.

I've seen a number of HS stocks needing similar work over the years, B&C's are generally pretty good. -matt

Tikka T3 vs Remington 700 actions

The tikka action is plenty strong, and their bolt handle attachment method is much stronger than Remington's. Overall, the T3 action is a very robust design and runs circles around the 700 in terms of engineering and build quality. They also use excellent barrels, every Tikka I've owned has been...

shootig with bullets close to the lands

With Bergers you will need them close to the lands or jammed into them in order to find good accuracy. I've never heard of it hurting barrel life before, I don't know how it could. -matt

Bolt Knob Suggestion and Pic Request

Any knob that interferes with your trigger finger is incorrectly installed. If you simply turn threads onto the material from your existing knob, it will be too short every time. You need to install in a way similar to El Gordo's above, extending it from the bolt body in order to improve stock...

This is why I would NOT buy ammo online from the auctions.

I was told the same thing last time, and the prices came right back down to where they used to be. There is no conspiracy, only a free market. It will only happen in 2016 if there is more talk of gun and ammo control, this is pretty simple stuff to understand. -matt

Gunsmithing Why do savage owners love nuts?

I don't mind the barrel nut on Savages, it's the rest of their rifle design that makes me cry a little inside... -matt
