    Not having to run mags with a kit or special mags made it easy for me. Plus box ammo in a pinch shoots well. I can have (and do) multiple short action barrels for my impact and not have to have hundreds of dollars in mags that I can't use for say, 308, 6.5 creed, 6gt, what ever. My mags tuned...

    I shoot a 6gt and love it. I did have to tune the mags more than I expected from the initial reports. My favorite thing about it is 33.3 grains of varget pushes a 109 ELD 2915fps and shoots in the .3s for 10 shot groups. Hornaday brass seems to be doing well after 4 reloading and is cheap.

    Just because EC can shoot and read conditions doesn't mean he knows more about shooting than everybody else. It means he's a amazing shooter. He should have called out the snake oil of that barrel. I'm not weighing in on the tuner stuff. I don't believe they work but I can't prove either way.

    I've been in this boat and worked up from a rem 700 to a FN SPR to a Impact build. Get a Solus(accepts prefits and takes rem 700 triggers and chassis). It will save thousands in the long run. You can through a prefit on it later, they come with a acceptable chassis and every part in the world...

    Drift out pin. Put spring in correct. Drive pin back in. If anything is wonky call Tate and take pics. They sell actions. They know that most people will take things apart as a necessity of assembling a rifle.
