    Re: What scope rings are to be used on a M40 rifle? I'm fairly certain that "1-66" designates the time period the rings were manufactured. Meaning January of 1966.

    Re: What scope rings are to be used on a M40 rifle? My base is two piece, and my rear ring is extended to fit on my 7mm rem mag. It's a 1967 rifle that I bought off an old timer and I'm having trouble finding these rings. Most seem to be extended on the front and not the rear. Any idea's?
