I believe they make the action for their lightweight hunting rifle encased in aluminum for lightweight. The others are steel. I could be wrong. I haven't seen the hunting action sold separately. I have a stand alone long action that is definitely solid steel. It's not light at all. Planning...
Well... if the fact it looks like ass means they cut costs on asthetics that my be a good thing. I notice the bolt is not fluted. It could be a good action without all the money spent making it look pretty. I watched some videos of it. The cocking sounds crisp and it seems to be smooth. I...
If anyone finds any numbers on these post a link. Sub MOA doesn't say much for a custom if you're doing ELR. If they turn out to be good I'll do a 6.5 prc with one if they come out with a bolt.
I've been having a hard time finding anything about accuracy for the complete rifle. They say they're going to start selling barreled actions soon but I'm not a buyer until I see some numbers.

I don't think 1:8 twist is an issue. I know they are bolt guns but desert tech has always made the srs covert .308 with a 1:8 twist claiming it makes the shorter barrel more accurate at long ranges. Think someone already posted an explenation on this thread. Do you have a quick release scope...
That's a nice tac 2 you've got there....does Bt engineering still make those stocks. I have a .338 LM bolt, barrel, mags, and muzzle break. If I could get another stock I would be that much closer to building another one.
