Not that big a deal, depending on what got torn up in the shaft. Same happened at one I worked in. Much smaller, only 1250 ft deep, 50 hands underground. Quartz comes in many colors. Try to scratch a piece of glass with one of the edges of your daughters rock. If it scratches the glass it's likely quartz. I know a little about rocks, but more about blowing them up and moving them. Rocks are fun. Thank you, MrSmith- MrSmith

Gunsmithing Bullet tumbling
I'm not as knowledgeable as most of the posters but: I don't see any rifling engraved on the slugs. There are scratches but nothing that looks like lands and grooves.
