Dramatic Loss of Accuracy past 100 yards. Anyone have any idea what is going on here

So you're telling us that you can put 5 shots, center-to-center, in less than 1/4" at 100y, but at 300y your 5-shot groups are 6"+. Is that right? You need to let somebody else shoot the rifle. And maybe you have a really bad case of parallax error.

    Best trigger for Remington 700?

What a novel question; haven't seen it asked more than, oh, a bazillion times. Search this forum and any other shooting forum and Google, and start reading. IMO, adjust the factory Rem 700 trigger to 2.5 lbs (which takes a careful person about 20 minutes start to finish), and call it done. Or...

Tactical Rifles v. Soulie et al

roger that. There really is power in numbers (think about the reaction to Jim Zumbo when the lardass suggested that nobody needed a semiauto rifle) -- but you and Marc have your hands full, even if this case is a complete debacle for the plaintiff. Keeping it zipped, but sending Kalifornia Bad...

Gunsmithing Looking for help replacing triggers in Rem 70 and Ruger 77

You're not the only one, friend. :) I've had maybe 3 dozen of them over the years, but am down to a threadbare eight at present.

Gunsmithing Looking for help replacing triggers in Rem 70 and Ruger 77

First, clarify whether it's a Rem 700 or Win 70. You list "Rem 70" twice. It it's the Rem 700, changing the trigger is easy. Regardless, if you've already bought the triggers, then install them yourself. Youtube probably has some helpful video. Take pics as you disassemble to ensure you...

Savage Anschutz Sporter 54. Made by Anschutz in Ulm, Germany, imported by Savage from about 1964 to 1981. The 54 action is revered. The single stage trigger is adjustable, and I've set it to 1.75 lbs. It's a repeater, and is missing only the hood on the front sight. (Lots of guys take these off...

Rifle Scopes American rifle company rings???

Who are you to second-guess the engineering that went into these rings, given Ted's credentials vs. yours?

Rifle Scopes Mark 4 vs Mark 6

Get the less expensive model and spend $500 on ammo. Shooting will make you a better shooter more than a marginally better piece of kit.

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt 3.5-26x56

The peanut gallery comments are typical, but like the liberals say: Don't agree with abortion? Don't have one. Lexus makes an extremely high-end sports car, their LFA. Figure it will cost you about half a million bucks in the USA. And Lexus reportedly loses money on each and every one they sell...
