Unless you’re looking for bench rest accuracy (not really what 16” 308 AR-10’s are good at), I’d take a serious look at some of the Primary Arms LPVO’s like the 1-8x24 ACSS. These are well within your budget and would give you lots of money left over for ammo, etc. These are more DMR type...- NathanB
