    Athlon ETR @$875 or Cronus/XTR3 @$1350 ??

Unlike "some" others , I'm going to actually use and put this scope on my Vudoo primarily for PRS22, maybe occasional benchrest, and general paper punching. I currently have a Midas Tac, and I can see .22 holes at 100 yds on paper with no problem. Generally ok with the scope, but more...

    .308 load development results--opinions needed

Thanks everyone... I'll try to address everything without copying each post in my reply... I believe there was a reference to the OCW method of testing, which I've read a few times--something to consider as a methodology change. Re: % powder change between loads--I would have expected...

    .308 load development results--opinions needed

As I've gotten older, my twist rate sadly has decreased--and, I want my rifle to accomplish magic! Ok, back to reality... 1/10 twist, and my max distance at my club is 400 yards, where we have a choice of steel or hanging paper targets. I kinda like the challenge of precision shooting at...

    .308 load development results--opinions needed

Don't know yet... I'd like to recreate those results at 100 yds first, then move out further... I suppose I should reload another set and see what happens at 200 and 300 yds.

    .308 load development results--opinions needed

I worked up some loads for my .308, with the results in posted images. Big question, does it make sense? Can it really be only one single load out of 12 that is good? New Winchester brass, full length resized, trimmed to 2.005". Twelve loads, 6 each with 168/175 gr. SMK, four rounds for each...

Suppressors Form 4 - Signature required or not?

So..... if I was expecting a rejection due to my dealer not printing form 4 front and back, but I got my stamps anyway (~2 wks shy of 8 months since pending), and a signature isn't needed, I shouldn't bring up the issue with batfe? So... with the e-file (on a trust), stamps will be returned...

Re: Savage FV-SR Would this not work? http://www.silencershop.com/shop/rifle-thread-spacer-12x28 I'll be in the same boat, waiting on a Spectre II for multiple hosts, including an FV-SR, M&P 15-22...

    PWS MK114

Re: PWS MK114 Might be a bit much glass, but yesterday I got my Vortex PST 6-24 MRAD SFP...(I've got old eyes! Thank you Scott at Liberty Optics) Thanks for helping me spend my money! LOL No mount yet... Don't want to beat up the dealer, but I might press for more of a package deal since I...

    PWS MK114

Re: PWS MK114 Regardless of my intended use, would I be negligent if I didn't buy the MK216 @$2250? (That a local dealer has in stock) At this point the use would be limited to range use out to 400 yds ( with 1k range under construction)

Rifle Scopes Vortex PST 6-24 VS Sightron SIII 6-24 Review

Re: Vortex PST 6-24 VS Sightron SIII 6-24 Review Can't thank you enough for not starting the video with stupid blaring music, and for not having constant music in the background, and for speaking in a nice low key tone! Can't tell you how many YouTube videos I stop almost immediately due to...

    Rifle Scopes FFP or Not??

Re: FFP or Not?? I've struggled with the decision to go FFP or SFP, but I finally decided that if you can't see where you are hitting (where the hole goes), then FFP is of little advantage. If I'm shooting paper at 400 yards, but can't see the holes, FFP won't make magic happen... Can't...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44 Mil-Dot

Re: Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44 Mil-Dot I'm looking hard at this scope or the Weaver 3-15x50, which for about $175 more has FFP. I don't need FFP, but wonder about differences in quality of glass... I'll only be shooting paper out to 400 initially, but my club will likely build a 1,000 yd range...
