    That's true. I'd bet one of the heavy bonded bullets could do it at close range if loaded hot enough. Maybe even monolithic. Poor constructed bullets like to blow up on elk shoulders

    one thing to consider when hunting with the 6.5 CM. You're not going to be able to take the double shoulder shot like you would with your 300 wm. It's just not going to happen.

    so first of all, there are a few things I KNOW. the 6.5 cranky 3,with 129 lrab's will drop deer, elk, and black bear like a sack of bricks. And big bulls too, not little does or fawns. How do I know? Well, I saw my 12 year old cousin do it. Down like a sack of bricks. 250 yards on average too...
