I have had a similar problem with my 300 Norma. Neck and throat area was a little tight. I ran Manson's neck and throater tool in and it cleaned up the problem. My PTG reamer was a little tight on specs. You can see where the bullet gets rubbed in the throat area, this causes that annoying...

SoCal, have you figured out your 300 Norma pressure issues? I have fought the same thing as you with my 300 n. No other cartridge has ever given me a problem. I have recently acquired Peterson brass which seems better (harder) however I'm still getting a sticky spot at the top of the bolt lift...

Why not use a Bainey box ? I think 3.1 is max coal

I have the same problem with my Norma, just received a new sizing die from Whidden but have not tried it yet. The base was not being sized enough so this is what was addressed with the new die.

Re: Mark Chanlynn Barrels My brother- in law has one on his 7 RUM and it is super accurate, for comparison I just broke in my 7-300 win with a Brux and it is equally as accurate but took longer to brake in. That said, I love the Brux but wouldn't hesitate on one of Mark's barrels.
