Re: Leica 10x32 question That was Leica's service policy in years back, it is different now... the Leica Goodwill Policy covers the product with out worring about who was the original owner. NJS
Re: Swarovski Range-finder I have read that the new Leica CRF 1600 will have angle, temp, and a ballistics calculation built in it... and for less than $900.00 And still much smaller than the Swaro. Looking forward to seeing one! NJS
Re: Steiner LRF Binoculars The new Leica 1600 rangfinder is priced at around $800 and gives the angle calculation, and calculates in the temp and atmospheric pressure and ballistic info - All in a unit that will fit in your shirt pocket! NJS

Re: Spotting Scope - which one? High end! Concerning the post by Blaster on Leica customer service... Leica has had some major changes in personnel and policies concerning customer service on repairs. I have had two of my hunting buddies return their binos and they have gotten them back...
Re: swarovski monocular rangefinder good for glassing? PGS is exactly right...your success depends more on your use of optics than the type of rifle or cartridge you use! Buy the best optics you can afford, buy a small tripod that will fit in your pack and tripod adapter for whatever bino...

Re: Range Finder which to choose for 1000 yards? My Leica LRF 1200 has always done a super job for me... the new Leica CRF is smaller, waterproof and faster. A used Leica is better investment than a new "cheepie" in my opinion. NV Hunter
Re: What about the "new" Redfield scope? Leupold bought the rights to the Redfield name... that is all. The scopes have no connection to the original Redfield "Made in Denver, CO" scopes. Oh they did keep the three knurled reings on the ocular body to make them look similar. Some optics...
Re: Opinion on binoculars It's so much handier to have one unit instead of two... I have a pair of Geovids and they are fantastic! My hunting buddies also have them and they are very happy. I got a deal on an 8x56 Geo and it is the perfect low light combo unit! Buy the best, you won't be...
