F T/R Competition Reduced 1000 yard targets for 300 yard shooting?
Wondering if they make a reduced 1000 yard target I can use at 300 yards? I went to the official NRA target page but didn't see any. Maybe I just dont know where to look. Thanks in advance for any help.- Nushooter

F T/R Competition Raking my brain on this F-class shooting thing....
I have a Savage 12fv w 26in heavy barrel in 308. with factory stock. I shoot the Hornady 178 bthp Match loaded with 44g of Varget set at 2.80 col. On top is a Millett 4x16x50 and the rifle sits on a bi-pod with bean bags for the back. The Savage shoots a .689 at 300 yards with this setup...- Nushooter

Re: New to long range In your price range I would look at the Savage 12 or 10 series. The 12 in .308 can be had for right around $500-550 depending on where you look. Hornady 178 BTHP Match Bullets..
Re: Hornady 178 BTHP Match Bullets.. I reloaded some of the 178 match at 44g/varget with col of 2.800 to shoot out of my Savage 12fv .308. If I could figure out how to post the pics you'd see that they shot a 5 shot group of .48 moa at 100yrds. In another case I had 175 SMK with 42g/varget...- Nushooter
