New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Tikka tactical is a baseline scenario here. At this pricepoint very few rifles will be so stupidly accurate. Second option is bergara premier of cz 600 mdt. This is stuff that I know. Other scenario is semi custom gun- so stock action and nice barrel like bartlein or brux.
Let me think for a second. Cortina does not break in his barrels. Nor does John Krieger. You have a high quality barrel as far as I can see. You really don’ t need to clean it that much. Unless you’re shooting short range benchrest. I don’t clean it before a match or before a hunt because it...
@Frank Green I don't think it's an accident that F-class John, Ultimate Reloader (Gavin) and now Bryan Litz are advertising Thorroclean. I would expect from them a declaration re conflict of interest. Otherwise I don't care why they recommend an abrasive to clean my barrel!
I will be building my first 6gt later on this year. I plan to run 28". As far as I can see it's on the longer side. Just thinking if tuning it would be much harder than 26".
I have to confess I am going to switch from 6BR to 6GT next season due to Lapua brass being available. 6gt run at 2950-3000fps has similar wind drift as 6.5 creedmoor.
Update: I dissasembled the bag rider since it adds torque to the stock. I feel it is better to slide the original oryx in the bag than with a bag rider due to vector of recoil force.
Is there a chance for a shortcut in finding obt?
Why not take the predicted obt node charge of powder as reference point and load 25 bullets- 2 charges above and 2charged below the predicted node in 0.2 increments?
Wouldn’t be simpler?
I have on 28" 1:8 rig chambered for 105 hybrids that I shoot up to 800yds. However for a 100y competition I was thinking about going 22" with a 1:8 spare barrel that I have. It's a BR score competition. What do you think?
