Re: M1A G.I. parts vs Non GI...Does it matter? So if you could by a m1a loaded that is two years old and has 250 rounds down the barrel would you buy for 1200?

Looking to purcase an m1a I have noticed people tend to prefer gi parts over the newer parts. It also seems that the rifels with gi parts bring higher prices.. So why is that and is there any difference in quaility between a new m1a with no gi parts and say one 15 years old with all gi parts.

Does anyone know if a M1A national match or Super Match can be used in the standard m14/m1a match? Im attending next year with a friend and was a lttle confused with what information I was able to find on google. Thanks

Im starting to get the feeling a ban is on its way, and would like to get an M1A but the cheapest I can find one is a loaded model for almost 1600. Seems really high, any input ?
