    Caliber question not tryin to start an argument

    You guys cold take a step and try shooting a replica of a 1874 Sharps at 1000 or so yards. It’s a challenge using souls sights and a rifle chambered in 45/70. My home cast bullets weigh between 525 to 560 grains.

    Don’t buy a rifle unless you can buy a couple of cases of ammo forvit. I have seen some ‘old’ guys come to the range with some 30 year old boxes of ammo. They take a couple of shots and then head home. They are the successful hunters.😀

    My grandson Jordan shooting cast bullets in my Swedish M38 equipped with a Soderin receiver sight. He made hits on plates set at 224 yds(15” disc), 419yds(21”),and 525yds(26”) before running out of elevation adjustment.
