    I used to have one of the early 1-4s and it was a great little optic (relatively speaking). I haven't looked at the 1-6 but SWFA makes good glass. I drive by there everyday when I take my kids to school.

    Basically yes. I can't remember exactly what I used, but it was probably about like that. Just something small and not too sharp.

    I used the same process Max did. Process works well and came out clean. I didn't abrade the bottom of the base any and I haven't had any problems with the bedding material coming off. The only thing I did different was using a small rounded plastic probe to help clean out the bedding material...
