Battery life is better than the 384 version as it's a slightly bigger battery, but the hot-spot detect DOES drain it more quickly. I grew up on the bae UTC and I'm frankly floored by how far thermals have come. It's a bit bulkier and heavier than others on the market but it's fully 6016 aluminum and hardcoat anodized and a friend has run his on .50 cals with no zero loss, so i think the rugged construction more than makes...- Ratmansqullius
