Nice looking setup Twisted, how do you like those bipod feet? I have been looking at some of those for my atlas, but I have never had the chance to use any.

    POF 14.5" 308 at 850 yards ! Holy s**t!

To my knowledge they only use rock creek barrels, but the newer gen4 with the chamber flutes maybe from a different source. I guess you would have to contact POF and ask them, if they give out that info.

    POF 14.5" 308 at 850 yards ! Holy s**t!

Read my post correctly (lol), I did not say to polish the barrel I said the "CHAMBER" . And you are not polishing the nitride finish out, you are getting deposits from the salt bath that is sometimes left in the chamber from the nitride process. I can't speak for the newer barrels, but mine is a...

Twisted, I was a little disappointed when I received my new A1 and saw the plastic rail, but then I remembered that most companies are looking for ways to cut costs. I also remembered the economy and how bad it was when these hit the market. At a time when many gun manufacturers were taking...

    POF 14.5" 308 at 850 yards ! Holy s**t!

Congrats on the new stick, I have the same rifle and I love it. Accuracy is rarely ever an issue with these rifles, but please do yourself a favor and follow the manufacturer instructions on polishing the chamber. I did not and I had problems with fte's, when I polished the chamber I haven't had...

    16" or 18"

You will drop around 40fps, not tragic. If you are going to shoot mainly suppressed, and go with the 16" then you should look into a 1-8 twist. When you shoot suppressed typically you use heavier bullets, the faster twist will help to stabilize the heavy bullets. The faster twist also helps...

Some of the Gen1 barrels were Krieger, but they stopped using them, and use only Walther premium stainless steel barrels now.

For you guys with a Tavor - how do you like them?

There is no one gun that is perfect for every situation, thats why there are so many out there. This weapon was designed for urban close quarter combat, it's not a tactical/sniper rifle so there is no need for it to be 1moa or less accurate. As far as reliability, it is battle proven for years...

    On the POF E^2 design...

If you have not done so already, polish your chamber and you will see a world of difference. I did mine and I have had no more problems with ejection since.

    On the POF E^2 design...

HK put flutes in their MP5 chambers to help with extraction, but that was with a blow back system. Don't know how it will work in a larger caliber gun.

    Anyone got $17,000 for a Remington 700 M24E1 XM2010?

I had one built on a cadex chassis, for about 3500 total and most of that was the chassis and a bartlien barrel. I used 208gr Amax and H1000, 1000yds was childs play with that gun. The front rail on the Cadex is bigger in diameter than the remington, but they are basically the same. I had to...

    Larue OBR here

OBR's are quality rifles I've been in a few compititions where they have taken 1st place. They have won a few times in the army's sniper challenge as well.
