Re: Did a little polishing on my 452 bolt. I used 220 grit, 400 grit, and finally 800 grit sand paper to smooth out the excess machine marks on the firing pin. Then I used a buffing wheel with gray colored rouge to polish all parts, followed by white rouge. The white really put a mirror...

I did a little polishing on my Bolt and Firing Pin today. The bolt must be chrome plated because it was a little harder to polish than the firing pin. It sure made a difference, it glides like it is on bearings now.

I been tinkering with my 452 Varmint and made some changes that I hope will improve accuracy. I shot it the other day without the barrel screw and it seemed to improve accuracy and make it group more consistently. I figured that if I install a pillar and bed the action it might help just a bit...

Re: Vietnam Snipers I may be way off base but I bet a lot of those boys come from a time when, you killed what you eat. Dad told you to go out and get some meat for supper and you learned a lot basics from hunting. They developed good shooting habits by providing food for the family.
