Re: Best "affordable" 22 out there Another vote for CZ. I was shooting my 452 Varmint this morning. Seven, 5shot groups @ 50yds. The average for 35 shots was .44".

    kids have no respect anymore

Re: kids have no respect anymore They don't have any respect because their worthless parents never beat it into them. The kids are only partially to blame. Most parents want to be their kids friend nowadays. They don't need friends, they need parents.

    Blackberry Cobbler

Went and picked the blackberries this morning before the sun got up to far. Fresh Blackberry cobbler, just add a big ole scoop of ice cream and enjoy.

Did a little polishing on my 452 bolt.

Re: Did a little polishing on my 452 bolt. --Why polish the firing pin? I polished the firing pin to get rid of the machine marks on the flat bottom. I only polished the bottom flat because it drags against the bolt guide. --Did you use the sandpaper on the bolt as well? No, only the firing...

Did a little polishing on my 452 bolt.

Re: Did a little polishing on my 452 bolt. I used 220 grit, 400 grit, and finally 800 grit sand paper to smooth out the excess machine marks on the firing pin. Then I used a buffing wheel with gray colored rouge to polish all parts, followed by white rouge. The white really put a mirror...

Did a little polishing on my 452 bolt.

I did a little polishing on my Bolt and Firing Pin today. The bolt must be chrome plated because it was a little harder to polish than the firing pin. It sure made a difference, it glides like it is on bearings now.

    My 452 Varmint changes

I been tinkering with my 452 Varmint and made some changes that I hope will improve accuracy. I shot it the other day without the barrel screw and it seemed to improve accuracy and make it group more consistently. I figured that if I install a pillar and bed the action it might help just a bit...

    Just wondering

I was wondering if anyone had taken a CZ 452 Varmint and modified it to have 2 action screws and free floated the barrel. I was thinking if you had two action screws, pillar bedded the action and floated the barrel it would help the accuracy. I may be totally wrong and it wouldn't be worth the...

Re: Girl tries out for LSU football team. Stick to the kitchen honey, no need to mess up that pretty young face trying to prove something. SEC football is a long ways from the soccer field.

    Vietnam Snipers

Re: Vietnam Snipers I may be way off base but I bet a lot of those boys come from a time when, you killed what you eat. Dad told you to go out and get some meat for supper and you learned a lot basics from hunting. They developed good shooting habits by providing food for the family.
