New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
If you want to do as best as you can in your local match i would go with H 322 powder a flat based berger bullet and weigh each charge. Its only 50 rounds 😃
h 322 is a very small stick powder that meters very well and is about the most accurate powder going for 50-55 grain bullets. I would defiantly try it, best of both worlds.
It is a bit heavy but i go with a laser range finder and a small bag. It nice to know i can smoke something at 500 or so yards with this setup off a “nature prop” 😃. I will say that when i feel the shots will be less than 200 yards i go with one of my 6.8 spc AR rigs that are right at 8lbs...
after building numerous rifles that weren't quite ideal I will toss in my advice. go with a straight no taper as it puts more weight up front and 26 is a good length but 28 will give you a little more velocity and weight up front. I totally don't see the point of a tapered barrel in a PRS...
https://americanreloading.com/products/winchester-small-pistol-primers-free-ship-haz-5000ct. I have used winchester primers for 40 years and they are my favorite. Cups are not to thick or thin. Just perfect. No drama works great in striker fired guns
$50 /1000 is my number for American primers and we just hit it. I have used the cheapie foreign ones and while ok for practice i would rather have proven performers for $50 than turds for $35
I use a lot of pistol primers as i still shoot USPSA and have resisted loading up at covid prices but recently winchester primers have been available at $50/1000 shipped so i have been buying at that level
