Re: Really dumb Brake question at what angle did you drill the holes in the brake?...I was taking a guess at 11 degrees, seeing as how it promises the best accuracy on a crown, but would that be sufficient to act as a brake, or would you have to go to say 30 degrees?
Hey all, First let me qualify what you are about to read.. First: I am by no means a gunsmith...i've done quite a bit of work on my own guns, mostly pistols and ar's, but that's about where it ends. I've been to a few armorer schools, but as most of you know, these arent really in depth...

Re: Objective research on Barrel Break-in procedures for about the last 18 years, ive been using a piece of 550 cord with a knot in it instead of cleaning rods..on all of my guns, and very rarely will i use a bore brush...ive been saying since then that barrel break in was a sham...thank you...
Re: Custom rifle project i like the concept of a bull pup bolt gun, but the economics of moving my hand so far to manipulate the bolt leaves me hesitant...if you could figure out a way to improve this, you would have a winner for sure....
Re: Remington SPS whitetail hunting load help a few years ago i had a 300 wsm, and it really liked winchester super x, 180 grain soft point...325 yards took a half a does head off...those 300's are downright brutal..good luck this year...
