    Mounting a two piece nightforce 20 MOA pic base on a Rem 700 SPS, and the scope doesn't sit in the rings (PRW) properly. I think it's cause the metal on the reciever is a little off, which on a one piece base is easy to correct by bedding one side... But how do you do that with a two- piece...

    Great, thanks. I'll mount it on the 20 MOA base this week and start there. BTW, I can top load and unload, but its narrow and I've got big hands... So going with 2 piece is more of a convenience thing. Any thoughts on whether I can go with low rings? (I bought medium). My suppressors not...

    I've had success using a $12 electric carving knife cutting foam for my gun cases....and I can still use it to cut turkey later (try that with a hot wire cutter :))
