Most accurate .22 pistol for under 1k

Re: Most accurate .22 pistol for under 1k The first thing I learned about accuracy with any .22 rimfire was that they all seem to do well with some ammo, and really crappy with others. Whatever .22 you get, buy a box of every kind of ammo you can find, and when you find the holy grail for...

    Ar10

Re: Ar10 I've never had a use for a forward assist. If the bolt doesn't close,by itself, there's ALWAYS something wrong. Usually out of spec ammo that you really don't want to be shooting anyway.

7 Rem Mag guys- What precision dies are you using?

Re: 7 Rem Mag guys- What precision dies are you using? Wilson hand dies. If I remember correctly, I had to send in a fired case for them to make the sizing die.

    Pocket Uniforming or Flash Hole?

Re: Pocket Uniforming or Flash Hole? I sometimes do one, or both, but, about the best I can shoot my rifles is about 1/2" at 200 yards, and it doesn't seem to matter. Maybe if I was a good shooter, and was looking for tiny groups, I'd see the difference.

    Muzzle device help needed

Re: Muzzle device help needed I would maybe warm it up a little, with a heat gun, in case it has locktite on it. Unless a gorilla put it on, you really shouldn't need a vise to remove it.

    460S&W Primers?

Re: 460S&W Primers? There IS a physical size difference between large pistol, and rifle primers. Small pistol, and rifle primers are the same size.

    Clark Custom Guns

Re: Clark Custom Guns They did an accuracy job on a Colt Gold Cup for me, and it since it has come back, it will group under 2" at 50 yards. Before I sent it in, it was more like 4" at 25 yards. I should dig it out of the safe and shoot it one of these days.

Benjamin Marauder PCP Air Rifle 22cal or 25cal

Re: Benjamin Marauder PCP Air Rifle 22cal or 25cal .22 Pellet costs and availability make the .22 a better choice than the .25. I almost bought a new Maureder, but, stumbled across a Discovery at such a good price that I had to take it. This is the first airgun I've ever shot that will...

Informative article on CB caps vs air rifle

Re: Informative article on CB caps vs air rifle Both of my .22s will do an inch at 100 yards with ammo they like, and a calm day, but, with CB caps, Aguila Super Colibries, they are lucky to do 2" groups at 25 yards. I picked up a used Benjaman Discovery, put a "stabilizer" on it, and it is...

    Brass Processing Services?

Re: Brass Processing Services? I had a guy, down in Texas that processed a pile of brass for me. He cleaned, resized, trimmed, and swaged the primer pockets, if needed, and he did an excellent job! I think he charged $30-$35 per thousand, but, I think that right now, he's taking some time...
